Sami's Sensations
A sweeter digital experience.
A new digital home for an independent sweet treats and gifting business, designed to showcase the products, build trust and create clearer routes to purchase and enquire.
The project
A small East London kitchen with a growing following
Sami's Sensations makes handmade chocolate gifts: hot chocolate bombs, loaded Belgian slabs, letterbox hampers and chocolate covered dates, all made to order in small batches. The business has built up a loyal customer base through its Etsy shop, with thousands of orders sent since 2022.
Etsy was working, so the point of this project was never to replace it. What was missing was a home of its own: somewhere the range could be seen properly, the personality of the business came through, and different kinds of customer could find the right next step, whether that is buying a single gift or asking about fifty of them.
Designed around the product.
Sami's own photography leads the page, with a clearer journey into shopping, gifting and enquiries underneath it.
The opportunity
A brand of its own, not just a marketplace listing
On a marketplace, every seller looks broadly the same. A dedicated website gives Sami's Sensations room to show the whole range together, explain how things are made and be found by people searching for handmade chocolate gifts rather than browsing listings.
So the brief was about presentation and routes rather than replacing the checkout. Etsy stays where the money changes hands. The website does the introducing.
Clearer brand presentation
One place that looks and sounds like the business.
Stronger product discovery
The full range grouped in a way people think about it.
Trust brought forward
Reviews, order history and food hygiene made visible.
Easier navigation
Shop, occasions, corporate and contact, all obvious.
Routes for different needs
A single gift and a company order are not the same job.
Foundations for search
Proper structure, headings and pages worth indexing.
01 / Product experience
Letting the products do the talking.
Every image on the site is Sami's own. The layout gives that photography space, groups the range into categories people actually search for, and puts the price and the link to buy right next to each item.
02 / Trust
Bringing credibility forward.
Sami's Sensations holds a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency, and has verified reviews and thousands of orders behind it. Rather than tucking that away on an about page, it sits where people are deciding: near the products, the reviews and the buttons.
For a food business bought online, that reassurance does a lot of the selling.
03 / Customer journey
More than one way to order.
People arrive wanting quite different things, so the site sends them down different paths instead of funnelling everyone into the same button.
Buying a gift
Straight through to the secure Etsy listing, priced up front.
Larger personal orders
A conversation instead of a basket, handled by enquiry.
Occasions
Birthdays, thank yous, Ramadan and Eid, Christmas, grouped together.
Corporate gifting
Its own page, its own tone, and a direct route to Sami.
04 / Responsive
Built for the phone in someone's hand.
Most gift shopping happens on a phone, often late in the evening, so the smaller screens were designed first. Product cards stack cleanly, images stay large, the navigation collapses without hiding the important routes, and the Etsy and enquiry buttons are always within thumb reach.
The same content, the same order, just laid out for the screen it lands on.

The outcome
A stronger digital home for Sami's Sensations.
The finished website gives the business a branded presence of its own that shows the products properly, brings the trust signals forward and creates clearer journeys for shopping, gifting and enquiries.
It launched recently, so there is no long run of data to point at yet. What it does have is a structure worth measuring: separate collection pages, one obvious route to Etsy, a corporate enquiry path and enquiry emails landing where Sami can act on them.
